Terms of Service
The agreement between every account holder and Meety.
One account, two sides of a marketplace. These terms cover learning on Meety and selling on it.
Section 01 of 15
Introduction and acceptance
These terms form the agreement between the account holder and [Legal entity name] for the use of the Meety service. Creating an account and ticking the acceptance box at signup means acceptance of these terms and of the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Anyone who does not accept them must not create an account.
Section 02 of 15
Definitions
Meety means the service operated by [Legal entity name], including the website, the installable app and support channels. Member means an account holder who books, joins, enrols or buys. Mentor means an account holder who is verified and offers sessions, courses, groups or digital assets. Content means anything an account holder posts, uploads or sends, including posts, comments, messages, files, courses, articles and reviews.
Section 03 of 15
Eligibility and age
Holders must be at least 13 years old. Mentors must be at least 18 years old and complete verification before being listed, booked or paid. One person holds one account. Accounts are personal and must not be shared, sold or transferred.
Section 04 of 15
The account
An email address must be verified before the account can be used. Verification links work once. The holder is responsible for keeping sign-in details safe and for all activity under the account, including on devices marked as trusted. Usernames can be changed once every 60 days. Email addresses cannot currently be changed inside the product. Contact support for help with an address change. Meety may suspend or ban accounts that break these terms, as described in section 13.
Section 05 of 15
What mentors may sell
1:1 session types with mentor set duration, price, currency, capacity and availability.
Courses with accurate descriptions and materials the author owns or holds the rights to use.
Group access under the billing model actually offered, with the approval and access settings stated on the group.
Digital assets the seller holds the rights to sell, delivered as files or links.
Articles free or paid as marked.
Mentors set their own prices in their profile currency. Prices display without conversion. Verification requires true personal details and the uploader's own identity document. The verified badge may be suspended where details prove false or the account is suspended.
Section 06 of 15
Purchases, payment and refunds
Checkout runs on hosted Stripe pages. Meety never sees or stores card numbers. Free items need no payment and produce no payment record. A purchase grants access as described in sections 7 and 8.
Cancelling a paid booking is the route to a refund. Whether money comes back and how much depends on how close the session is to its start time and is decided by the service at cancellation. The invoice shows refund pending while the money is owed and refunded once the payment provider confirms the movement. There is no refund request form.
Group subscriptions keep access until the end of the paid period and do not renew after cancellation. Members joining a group with approval are not charged until approved. Where Meety offers a paid plan, the terms shown at checkout apply. Upgrades forfeit unused time with no credit and cancellations keep access until the end of the paid period. Prices shown at checkout are resolved again at payment time, so a stale quote or an expired coupon never changes what is actually charged.
Section 07 of 15
Mentor earnings and payouts
Sales land in four balances. Lifetime earnings after the platform fee. Pending clearance released a stated number of days after delivery. Available balance ready to withdraw. In review while a withdrawal is being processed. A platform fee is deducted from each sale before the remainder reaches the available balance. Withdrawals go to a saved payout method in the balance currency. One open request runs per currency at a time. Server side minimums apply. Mentors are responsible for their own tax obligations on earnings.
Section 08 of 15
Marketplace assets and buyer rights
Buying a digital asset grants personal access to open or download it while the purchase stands. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying work and it must not be resold or redistributed. Refunded purchases lose access. Reviews left on refunded purchases are hidden and no new review may be posted for them.
Section 09 of 15
Courses, groups and articles as sold
Course access follows the enrolment or group membership that granted it. Free preview lessons stay open to everyone. Group access follows the chosen model and the approval, doors and member limit settings in force. Leaving ends access at the end of the paid period. Level and XP history is retained as the product records it. Paid articles unlock on purchase under the same access grant as digital assets.
Section 10 of 15
Content licence and conduct
Holders keep ownership of their content. By posting, uploading or sending content, the holder grants Meety the licence needed to host, store, display, translate on request and deliver it through feed, groups, courses, messages, search and previews, including reposts inside Meety. The licence ends when the content or the account is deleted, subject to the retention rules in the Privacy Policy. Group owners may set house guidelines that members of that group agree to.
Prohibited content and behaviour. Spam and scams. Harassment and bullying. Hate speech. Violence and threats. Nudity and sexual content. False information presented as fact. Infringement of intellectual property or personal rights. Impersonation. Scraping or bulk collection. Circumventing access controls, paywalls or approval flows. Abuse of support, reporting or appeal channels.
Section 11 of 15
Meetings and scheduling
Sessions run on the mentor's connected meeting account or a link the mentor provides. Meety is not responsible for third party meeting services. Join links open around the session time and reminders follow the holder's notification settings. Cancellation by either side follows the booking rules in section 6. Rescheduling is done by cancelling and booking again.
Section 12 of 15
Liability, availability and changes
The service is provided as available. Meety does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, mentor availability, learning outcomes or earnings. Mentors act independently. Meety provides the venue and the tools, not the teaching itself. Liability is limited as the law of [Governing law] allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Features may be modified or discontinued. Paid access already bought is honoured to the end of its period.
Section 13 of 15
Suspension, termination and appeal
The holder may stop using the service at any time. Paid access runs to the end of its period and account deletion is handled on request through support as described in the Privacy Policy. Meety may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or threaten the safety of others or the service. Bans state a reason and a deletion date and carry a right of appeal through the stated appeal flow. Transactional and safety records survive termination as described in the Privacy Policy.
Section 14 of 15
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [Governing law]. Disputes should first be raised through support so they can be resolved directly.
Section 15 of 15
Changes and contact
Material changes will be announced in the product before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. Questions about these terms go to [Support email] or through the contact page at [Contact URL].
